When the Carnegie Museum of Art asked DCW founder Dee Briggs to host and work with world renown artist El Anatsui, Briggs was determined to involve the entire neighborhood. For the fabrication of the project Briggs hired neighborhood artists to lead teams of other neighborhood residents and teens. All worked together - sometime shoulder to shoulder with Anatsui himself - to realize the project, which was installed on the facade of the Museum for the 57th Carnegie International exhibition.
